Hi Maplers! Welcome to the Global MapleStory Classic World Founder’s Access! Whether you’re revisiting old favorites or experiencing MapleStory for the first time, this is your chance to create a character, find your community, and make memories that last. From casual exploration to epic boss battles, there’s a place for every kind of Mapler.

Join our official MapleStory Discord to meet other Maplers, share your adventures, and find people to explore Classic World with. Bring your friends, choose your adventure, and we’ll see you in-game!


Accessing Classic World

We recommend that you pre-download MapleStory Classic World before Founder's Access begins, to ensure you can jump into the game the moment servers go live.
Nexon Launcher
Since the MapleStory Classic World game client cannot be downloaded until launch day, you can save time by getting your Nexon Launcher ready right now.
  1. Download and install the official Nexon Launcher from the Nexon website.
  2. Log in with your Nexon account.
  3. On Launch Day: Locate MapleStory in your library, select the MapleStory Classic World toggle, and download the standalone client.
Steam
Because the games are bundled, having the base game fully installed and updated right now will drastically reduce your required patch size when Founder's Access begins.
  1. Open your Steam Library and locate MapleStory.
  2. Click 'Install' and select your preferred drive.
  3. Allow the base download to finish completely and let Steam apply any pending updates.

General Key Details

  • Your Founder’s Package will be available to claim from your in-game mailbox. Items must be claimed by 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM UTC.
  • The game can be played on both Windows and macOS.
  • The game now supports English and Spanish (Beta) languages.
  • You can choose between Classic Style and Modern Style as the default key binding settings. Modern Style supports WASD movement!
  • Xbox and PlayStation controllers are supported. Other controllers may not function properly.
    • Make sure to Enable Controller Support in Game Options to have your controller recognized! This option is toggled off by default.
Begin Your Adventure
  • Up to 3 characters can be created per account. When deleting a character, there will be a waiting period before it's deleted from your account.
  • Every character starts as a Beginner on Maple Island. You’ll meet your first monsters, complete quests, and get familiar with the basics before traveling to Victoria Island.
  • Victoria Island is home to multiple towns where you’ll choose your job and continue your adventure. Explore forests, mountains, dungeons, and more as you take on quests and meet other Maplers along the way!
Forgotten Hollow will not be available during Founder’s Access as the path leading there hasn't been discovered yet! We plan to add this at a later date.
Choose Your Job
  • At Lv. 10, you can complete your 1st Job Advancement and choose one of the four jobs: Warrior, Magician, Bowman, or Thief. Each offers a different way to fight, so choose one that fits how you want to play!
  • At Lv. 30, your 2nd Job Advancement lets you choose a more specialized path and learn new skills.

The maximum character level is Lv. 100

When you reach Lv. 10, complete your 1st Job Advancement by talking to Dances with Balrog located in Perion.
2nd Job Advancement
When you reach Lv. 30, talk to Dances with Balrog to choose one of the following 2nd Job Advancement specialized paths: Fighter, Page, Spearman.

1st Job Advancement
When you reach Lv. 10, complete your 1st Job Advancement by talking to Grendel the Really Old located in Ellinia.
2nd Job Advancement
When you reach Lv. 30, talk to Grendel the Really Old to choose one of the following 2nd Job Advancement specialized paths: Wizard (Fire/Poison), Wizard (Ice/Lightning), Cleric.

1st Job Advancement
When you reach Lv. 10, complete your 1st Job Advancement by talking to Athena Pierce located in Henesys.
2nd Job Advancement
When you reach Lv. 30, talk to Athena Pierce to choose one of the following 2nd Job Advancement specialized paths: Hunter, Crossbowman.

1st Job Advancement
When you reach Lv. 10, complete your 1st Job Advancement by talking to Dark Lord located in Kerning City.
2nd Job Advancement
When you reach Lv. 30, talk to Dark Lord to choose one of the following 2nd Job Advancement specialized paths: Assassin, Bandit.

  • As you explore Victoria Island, you may come across powerful bosses! Prepare your equipment and team up with other Maplers to take on the 5 Bosses that will available to challenge:

Explore New Features
Beauty Album is a new feature that lets you save your character’s hairstyles, face styles, and skin color all in one place! Keep your favorite looks saved so you can return to them when you’re ready for another change!
Crafting is a brand-new MapleStory Classic World system available to characters Lv. 10 and above. Turn the materials you collect into items that will help you out on your adventure!
Visit crafting NPCs to see items you can craft and the materials you’ll need. As you continue crafting, you’ll develop your crafting skills and gain access to more recipes.

Citizenship is a new MapleStory Classic World system available to characters Lv. 12 and above. Get to know the people who call Victoria Island home! Official residents of Henesys and Kerning City get special perks like:
  • Access to special items from the local specialty shop
  • Discount on Cab prices
  • Discount on Storage Keeper services
  • Discount for some general store items

Become a citizen of Henesys by talking to Arthur located in Henesys Town Hall
Become a citizen of Kerning City by talking to Roxy located in Kerning City Civic Center
Visit each town’s Community Board to find requests from local residents. Completing these requests earns Contribution toward your Citizenship grade. As your grade increases, you’ll unlock more opportunities to help the town!
Party Quests
Looking for an adventure to take on with friends? Characters Lv. 21 and above can participate in the ‘First Time Together’ Kerning City Party Quest. Talk to Lakelis in Kerning City to get started!
[Updated 10/8/2026] Due to increased activity on Channels 1 and 2, Kerning City Party Quest will now be available only on Channels 3, 4, 5, and 6.
Party quests are activities where you work together with other players to complete a series of challenges. In ‘First Time Together’, your party will solve puzzles, defeat monsters, and face King Slime! J>PQ@@

Please Note
Accounts that completed the ‘[Event] A Strange and Familiar Wood’ and ‘[Event] Beyond the Unknown’ quests during Closed Online Tests #1 and #2 will be able to claim the Classic Beginnings Label/Chat Ring at Grand Launch.
The Mark of Beta event is planned to begin at Grand Launch on October 21, 2026.

How to Participate

  • Once you reach Lv. 10, talk to Maple Administrator to accept the ‘[Event] Founder’s First Step’ quest.
  • The reward you receive is based on your total number of daily check-ins with Maple Administrator. Each day you check in increases your count by one, even if you missed a day in between.
    • Example: If you claim Day 1’s reward on Monday and return on Wednesday, you’ll receive Day 2’s reward.
  • Rewards can be claimed once per account for each check-in day.

How to Participate

  • Talk to Paul at Lith Harbor to move to the event map. You cannot participate if you:
    1. Own a Scroll of Secrets
    2. Participated in a GM event within the past 24 hours
  • Test your physical fitness and take on a jump quest within 15 minutes.
  • Movement and jump are set to default, and skills like Haste and Teleport are disabled. Consumable items will have no effect during the event.
  • Successfully complete the physical fitness challenge to receive the Scroll of Secrets reward.
October 12, 2026 | Time: 12:00 AM UTC - 2:00 AM UTC
Team up with other Maplers and harvest as many coconuts as possible before time runs out! Watch out for obstacles and traps as you compete to earn the highest score.

How to Participate

  • Talk to Paul at Lith Harbor to move to the event map. You cannot participate if you:
    1. Own a Scroll of Secrets
    2. Participated in a GM event within the past 24 hours
  • Attack coconut trees using melee attacks to collect as many coconuts as possible within 5 minutes. Players will be divided into two teams.
    • Ranged attacks and skills cannot be used and will be disabled.
  • If you don’t have a melee weapon, you can purchase one by talking to Harry located in the event map.
  • The winning team receives the Scroll of Secrets reward.
October 9, 19 | Time: 12:00 AM UTC - 2:00 AM UTC
Climb your way through three stages and choose the correct portals to reach the finish before time runs out!

How to Participate

  • Talk to Paul at Lith Harbor to move to the event map. You cannot participate if you:
    1. Own a Scroll of Secrets
    2. Participated in a GM event within the past 24 hours
  • Find your way through ladders and tricky portals within the time limit. Choose carefully, as some portals will move you to the next map while others may send you back to the beginning.
  • Movement and jump are set to default, and skills like Haste and Teleport are disabled. Consumable items will have no effect during the event.
  • Reach the last stage to receive the Scroll of Secrets reward.

GMs are causing chaos in towns and summoning monsters across the map! With the power of friendship, join other Maplers to defeat the monsters for a chance to collect rewards. (Note: Death penalties do not apply while in a town.)
